Adelaide’s Inaugural Howloween Dog Parade | 31 October 2015

dog parade

Come one come all, it’s Adelaides first (un)official Howloween Dog Parade!!!

Bring your furry four-legged friend dressed in costume down to RYMILL PARK at 11am on Saturday the 31st of October. The meet point is the North-West corner of the park opposite the Stag Hotel (this is important, as there are other events going on in parts of the park!).

All dogs MUST be kept on a leash and under effective control at all times. It is your responsibility to make sure your pup plays nicely, so please be smart and leave them at home if you think they might cause trouble.

The dogs will parade through Rymill Park and show off their costumes, then stop where the costumed pups can frolic, people can picnic and prizes will be given to some of the best dressed canines.

It has come to the organisers attention that this event clashes with Welcome to Australia’s Walk Together event, which is why they have decided to have collection buckets at Rymill Park where all funds collected will go directly to Welcome to Australia. They will be labelled buckets and carried by organisers in hi-vis. Please bring some cash or change to donate if you would like to support this cause but can’t make it to Walk Together because seeing dogs in costume is too enticing!

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Leash and collar with identification tag for your dog.
  • A container for your dog to drink water from.
  • Plastic bags to pick up after your dog.
  • A picnic lunch to have in the park once the parade is over (NO alcohol please)
  • Some change if you wish to visit the kiosk, buy one of our special Howloween Dog Parade Stickers or donate to the Welcome to Australia cause.

Please listen to instructions from our volunteers and judges on the day!
