The inaugural “All Steamed Up” Engine, Blacksmith & Boat Festival will be held at Mannum on the weekend of 15 & 16 November in conjunction with the 20th Anniversary of the recommissioning of the PS Marion.  An exciting new event for the Mannum Dock Museum, this event will feature the largest working display of blacksmiths ever seen in South Australia and the Shearer Steam Car back in Mannum for the first time in many years.

Enjoy a Family Fun Weekend on the banks of the Murray River at Arnold Park and the Mannum Dock Museum.

  • Largest display of Blacksmith demonstrations in South Australia

Short one hour cruises on the PS Marion will be available for $15.00 per adult and $7.50 per child (under 4 years of age free) at 10:30am, 12:00pm, 1:30pm and 3:00pm.  One of the first paddle steamers to run cruises on the Murray River, the PS Marion is one of the world’s only operational, heritage, steam driven, wood fired, side paddle steamers with overnight passenger accommodation still operating.

Discover the new and exciting interactive display “All Steamed Up” where you become a River Boat Captain and steer along the River Murray. Understand the science of steam power, learn about sags, snakes and river life just to name a few amazing attractions that await you at the Museum.

Journey through exhibits and displays that interpret our rich and colourful historic and cultural maritime heritage of the golden age of paddle steamers on the Murray River.

Entry Fees:  $5.00 Adults with children under 14 years free.  Free parking will be available at Mannum Football Oval.
