Bay to Birdwood to visit Rundle Street!
The Bay to Birdwood is coming to Rundle Street in the East End on Sunday 11 September, two weeks prior to the main event.
Around 80 veteran, vintage and early classic vehicles manufactured up to 31 December 1959 will be on display on Rundle Street.
From 10 am until 4 pm Rundle Street will be closed to traffic so people can wander amongst these magnificent vehicles, get a close-up look and chat to the owners.
The display will feature the very best of vintage and veteran vehicles including a 1926 Rolls Royce, 1952 Bentley, 1909 Gregoire, 1914 Napier as well as a 1936 Chrysler (just to name a few) to keep any car enthusiast happy!
There will also be music, entertainment and swing dancing for all to enjoy. Paul Rees, Director of the National Motor Museum welcomes everyone to Rundle Street to what has traditionally been a fabulous South Australian event and attracted a great mix of spectators, loyal supporters, historical vehicle owners, admirers and local communities.
“It is also the support of great South Australian businesses like Maras Group that we can stage this great event for the South Australian community and historic motoring enthusiasts,” said Paul.
Steve Maras, Managing Director and CEO said “South Australian events like the iconic Bay to Birdwood are of huge value to our community and we at Maras Group strongly believe in supporting these. And what a fabulous piece of Adelaide to showcase; the East End, Rundle Street East!”
The Bay to Birdwood Run is taking place on Sunday 25th September and the National Motor Museum is encouraging everyone to line the streets and watch the cavalcade of historic motor vehicles or enjoy the fun family day at the Museum in Birdwood from 10am to 5pm.
