Inspired: Australian Book Illustration Now

An exhibition celebrating the diverse talents of artists working in contemporary publishing for children.

A picture paints a thousand words.

While Matilda the Musical is on come enjoy artworks from award-winning children’s book illustrators including Alison Lester, Shaun Tan and Graeme Base.

The impact that your favourite picture book can have during your early years cannot be overstated. Certain images are with you always, echoing fond memories of childhood through to adolescence.

Books Illustrated is an organisation celebrating Australian children’s literature, with a focus on picture books and their creators. It has an rich history that has culminated in a program of touring exhibitions promoting the work of Australian book illustrators that have shown throughout Australia and internationally.
