Brighton Jetty Classic Sculptures
2017 Brighton Jetty Classic Sculpture Exhibition
The Brighton Jetty Classic Sculpture Exhibition is an annual event with sculptures exhibited both indoors and outdoors including a ‘sculpture walk’ along the Esplanade at Brighton, South Australia. The Exhibition concludes on Sunday 5 February, the day of the Channel 7 Brighton Jetty Classic Swimming Event and Street Festival. This combination of both art and sport is unique and attracts wide community support.
The event was inspired by Brighton Surf Life Saving members after experiencing sculptures at Cottesloe Beach WA, the latter event modeled on the famous Bondi Sculptures by the Sea.
Sculptures large and small for outdoor and indoor display will be made from multi media compositions i.e. wood, wire, glass, metals, stone, clay, plastics, cement etc.
