After the success of the inaugural event in 2016, the Family Ride is back by popular demand!
On Sunday 15 January 2017, Family Ride participants will ride laps of the People’s Choice Classic circuit just a few hours before world’s elite cyclists hit the road. Families will be contacted with a specific time frame when they can ride laps of the track (between 1-4pm). Kids, this is your big chance to show off your cycling skills while being cheered on by the Santos Tour Down Under crowd lining the track.
Participants will receive an itinerary closer to the date with more information including individual group start times.
Bike trailers and child seats are all welcome, so every member of the family can participate!
Pricing:
- One adult and one child is $30.
- An additional $5 per family member thereafter.
Family team names:
Your team name will be important in identifying your family group on the day or registration. Team names will not be printed on any clothing; they are used simply for identification purposes.
What you need to participate:
- A bicycle in good condition
- An Australian standards approved helmet
- Parent/guardians permission (for those under 18 years of age)
- Please note Family Ride is for families only and therefore each entry must have one adult and one child at minimum.
