Did you miss out on Carclew’s sold-out School Holiday Animation Workshops?
The good news is that in Term 3 2016 you can enrol in the new Carclew After School Animation Course. This 8 week course is run in association with GooRoo Animation.
What will you learn at the Carclew After School Animation Course?
Across this 8-week course you’ll learn about all the different types of animation and try your hand at a whole range of animated techniques including:
- claymation
- flipbooks
- whiteboard animation
- mixed media animation; and
- pixilation.
You’ll learn from scratch how to create characters, build sets and props, add titles, music and sound effects, then bring them all to life using the Stop Motion Studio App for mobile phones. At the end of each session, you’ll have an animated film to take home to show your friends and family.
In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of what goes into producing animation on a professional level.

Carclew After School Animation Course Details
Carclew After School Animation Course will run every Monday from 1 August – 19 September 2016.
Ages 7-12: 3.30-5.00pm, term fee $200
Ages 13-17: 5.30-7.30pm, term fee $250
