City of West Torrens Summer Festival | Jan & Feb 2016

Summer Festvial generic

The City of West Torrens has held an annual series of free community events in the West Torrens Memorial Gardens since 2008. Originally called Music in the Park, the event is now known as the City’s Summer Festival.

Summer Festival’s program of live music and outdoor cinema caters to a variety of tastes. Bring your own picnic blanket, chairs, food and drinks to the West Torrens Memorial Gardens most Saturday evenings in January. There will also be a sausage sizzle, coffee and cool drinks available to buy.

Fork On The Road is coming to Kings Reserve Oval on Saturday 6 February. Visitors and locals alike will feast on the offerings provided by over 30 different food trucks. There will be a classic car display by The Wanderers Rock and Roll Car Club, live music by Adelaide’s finest musicians, plus children’s activities including interactive stories presented by The Nylon Zoo.

The 2016 program expands Summer Festival’s reach to include exhibitions, food and live music events held at venues and open spaces in the City of West Torrens.
