Festival of Learning & Participation

Internationally acclaimed composer and educator Paul Rissmann will be returning to lead the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra’s third annual Festival of Learning and Participation.

This dynamic week-long festival will see over four thousand students from kindergarten to tertiary level, share and make music with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. For the first time, the glorious Adelaide Town Hall will be home to the week-long program of schools and families concerts, featuring two Australian premieres by Paul Rissmann, and three exceptional programs for different age groups, including a stimulating program designed specifically to connect the orchestra with high school students.

In addition to a day of family creative workshops, the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra are also thrilled to be collaborating with the Elder Conservatorium of Music to present a feature concert at Elder Hall. This project will see the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra perform side by side with Conservatorium students, featuring a performance of a brand new work, devised by 20 students throughout a week of creative workshops with Paul Rissmann.

The Learning Program, including all details of the Festival of Learning & Participation is available to request on the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra website HERE.
