The Garden of Unearthly Delights
The Garden of Unearthly Delights is the most spectacular Adelaide Fringe venue that plays host to a myriad of entertainment for the whole family. Over the past fourteen years, The Garden of Unearthly Delights has established itself as one of the most innovative and dynamic festival precincts in Australia, attracting more than 800,000 people of all ages every season.
The East End parklands are completely transformed during the Fringe festival, creating a unique, colourful and electric atmosphere both night and day. It is most certainly one place you should visit during the Fringe festival be it to see a show, to watch some street theatre, for the games and rides or to just take in the sights and sounds of this wonderful event.

Kid / Dub is the new family party for all the people who loved Hot Dub Time Machine and now want to let their kids experience the fun. An audio-visual time travelling dance party for kids, featuring LuLu Loud!
Children Are Stinky | 17 February – 19 March 2017 | Corona Theatre | Rated G
This duo attempts to prove that kids are stinky are met with messy, ridiculous, hysterical twists. They only succeed in proving that children are awesome and they know it! Expect daredevil stunts, incredible acrobatics, lighting fast hula hoops, loads of laughs & mischievous fun, leaving adults and children with their jaws on the floor hooting for more.
Super Amazing Giant Girl | 4 – 19 March 2017 | Le Cascadeur | Rated G
A hilarious parable of strength, fragility and triumph, exploring the challenges of fitting in when you’re a Super Amazing Giant! Action-packed and interactive, this theatre show for kids combines thrilling circus, absurd comedy and ingenious physical theatre.
Amazing Drumming Monkeys – The Garden Show | 18 February – 19 March 2017 | Le Cascadeur | Rated G
The Amazing Drumming Monkeys have been wowing audiences around Australia and overseas for the past 13 years! The Monkeys combine a unique blend of puppetry, live music, comedy, and heartwarming themes, to deliver a fun filled interactive show for the whole family. This is an adorable little variety show aimed at 1 – 8 yr olds, and is also great entertainment for all ages.
Seastar Rock | 18 – 26 February 2017 | Corona Theatre | Rated G
It’s a giant party when the SeaStar Rock team hits the stage, with all the characters from the famed, locally produced TV Series. Kids will be singing, dancing and playing games with the SeaStar Rockers, as they help navigate the sustainability of our oceans.
Boomstars & Supercat |19 February – 19 March 2017 | The Factory | Rated G
An action packed interactive show! Hector the Lion shows-off his newly found super powers to convince Boomstars he should be titled Supercat. Jam-packed with dance crazes, awesome songs designed for young audience interaction and loads of hilarious stints for families of children aged 3-8 years.
Foals | 4 – 5 March 2017 | Rated G
See how kids from around the world express themselves through art, story telling and multimedia. Each artwork will be accompanied by a story and told in the kid’s native language (with written English translations).
Peter Combe in Bellyflop in a Pizza | 25 February – 19 March 2017 | Corona Theatre | Rated G
Peter Combe is back in a quirky, interactive, funfilled new show. Songs that are loved by little kids, big kids and adults who are still kids at heart! Tom Can Play the Trumpet, Quirky Berserky, Jack & the Beanstalk, Newspaper Mama, Juicy Juicy Green Grass, Spaghetti Bolognaise, Chopsticks, Wash Your Face in Orange Juice and the all singing, all dancing kids from Theatre Bugs!!
In addition to the huge performing arts program, there is a whole host of other exciting treats that all play their part in making The Garden a wonderland like no other.
The Garden hosts a colourful array of food and drink stalls from around the world. Ask the foodies for their daily specials, as well as their show recommendations! The Garden Market is full of wild surprises for those who can’t resist a trinket.
And what carnival would be complete without a spin on the Ferris Wheel or a bump on the dodgem cars? All the fun of the fair – old school style.
BankSA Free Concert Series
Every year in The Garden the BankSA Free Concerts delight audiences of all ages with a wild and wonderful feast of comedy, cabaret, circus and music. Don’t miss this chance to sample the very best the Fringe has to offer. And it’s all free. The concert series runs from 17 February through to 19 March on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 5.30pm. Click here for details.

Garden of Unearthly Delights Opening Hours
The best time to visit with children is during the day on weekends or early in the evening. It can get extremely busy and loud at night as the crowd builds and there can often be a queue to enter The Garden (ticket holders have priority entry).
Minors are allowed to enter The Garden until midnight and permitted to remain in The Garden after midnight if they are seeing a show that starts prior to midnight and finishes by 1am. No minors, accompanied or otherwise, can enter The Garden after midnight.
The Garden Box Office is located at the East Terrace entrance. Tickets can be purchased here in person and this is the collection point for pre-purchased tickets.
Entry to The Garden of Unearthly Delights
The Garden is free to enter. Although there is free entertainment and activities on at various times, charges apply to games, rides and sideshow entertainment.
