Hermitage CFS are having an open day as part of Bushfire Action Week on the 29th October 2016.

The CFS Station will be open to all visitors, parents, homeowners, children, locals, Adelaide community, etc., so feel free to come down during the day, say hello, meet Smokey the Koala Bear, and have a look through the Station and the two Firetrucks. There will be;

    • A free Sausage Sizzle
    • Coffee and tea
    • Meet Smokey the Koala Bear
    • Become a Firefighter for a Day
    • Spray some water and have fun using the Hoses
    • Jump in the firetrucks and the Crew Deck
    • Learn vital information for preparing and fighting Bushfires
    • Discuss Bushfire survival plans, and what works and what doesn’t
    • Tour the CFS Station
    • Learn how to apply to join the CFS
    • Gutter Bungs and Hermitage CFS stubby holders will be available
    • Meet the people who risk their lives to protect you
