Mary Poppins – July School Holiday Entertainment!
Matt Byrne Media will present the South Australian premiere of the world’s most loved family musical, Mary Poppins, in Adelaide and Elizabeth this July/August 2015.
Australian author P.L. Travers’ classic tale of a magical nanny who sorts out the dysfunctional Banks Family in 1910 London, will land on the Arts Theatre stage from July 2-18 and fly to Elizabeth’s Shedley Theatre from July 23 to August 1, 2015.
The Oscar-winning Walt Disney movie musical made Julie Andrews a superstar, and Adelaide’s Lauren Potter will play the much-loved Nanny opposite Brendan Cooney as Bert.
The fabulous score from Richard and Robert Sherman features musical classics like Spoonful Of Sugar, Chim Chim Cher-ee, Let’s Go Fly A Kite, Jolly Holiday, Feed The Birds and Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
Producer/Director Matt Byrne said getting the rights to present the SA Premiere of Mary Poppins was “an incredible honour and opportunity to showcase the wonderful talent we have in Adelaide.”
