Mini-Musicians is a family music activity class for children from 18 months to 5 years of age.
Children have a natural ability and interest in music which can be fostered and developed by beginning music lessons at a young age.
Mini Musicians classes integrate speech, song, percussion instruments, games and movement, providing children with the opportunity to create, explore and express themselves as musicians. Through these musical activities children develop coordination, concentration, listening skills and the ability to memorise.
They learn to play percussion instruments, sing, dance and are exposed to various styles of music in a relaxed group atmosphere.
The emphasis is on fun for both parents and children! The children develop social skills and confidence in a safe, friendly group setting.
Mini-Musicians music classes are held at the Mitcham Community Centre on Thursday and Friday mornings during term time. Terms are generally eight weeks long and classes last 45 minutes. The first lesson is complimentary.
