The Mother’s Day Classic is an annual fun run and walk raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research.
Their aim is to deliver a fun, healthy and inspirational community event that brings the community together on Mother’s Day to support and remember those touched by breast cancer.
Adelaide’s 2024 event will be held in Pinky Flat on the bank of the River Torrens, bordered by Adelaide Oval. Participants can choose to walk or run a distance of 4km or 7km. There are also official events in Gawler and Mount Gambier.
Participants can also experience the buzz of the event village, entertainment, music, and food stalls to enjoy throughout the day. Here are just a few examples of what you can expect on event day:

- Partner activities from HESTA, Kieser, Smooth FM, BreastScreen SA, Australian Dental Foundation
- Coffee & food vendors
This event is wheelchair and pram friendly (dogs are not allowed).
Embrace & Honour:
If you have been touched by breast or ovarian cancer, join an ‘Embrace & Honour’ time, when participants will reflect on the strength of the MDC community (formerly named Stronger Together).
