Head to McLaren Vale over the June long weekend for the annual Sea and Vines Festival

Hosting four days of indulgence, decadence and delight, the McLaren Vale Sea and Vines Festival caters for all ages and tastes with a wide variety of events. From intimate degustation dinners with celebrity chefs and winemakers, structured masterclasses, a Spanish inspired fiesta, food trucks, live music, jumping castles and petting zoos – there’s something to suit the whole family. Here’s our pick of the family friendly events and venues:

Monday Zest Day at the Sea and Vines Festival

Monday is the day of the festival where you are able to give thanks for the long weekend, kick back, and enjoy the wines and cuisine available at the venues that are part of Monday Zest.  The purchase of a Plumm Vintage outdoor glass at any Monday Zest venue gives you entry into all of venues – no bookings required.

Sea and Vines Monday Zest events are relaxed family-friendly affairs, so don’t be surprised if you spot a petting zoo or a bouncy castle on the lawn!

Kay Brother’s Winery | Monday Zest

Take the family to one of the oldest wineries in McLaren Vale and enjoy some of the joys of yesteryear. Children can explore their inner Robin Hoods, take careful aim and enjoy some safe supervised archery practice or have fun with lawn games on the extensive grounds. Adults will have an opportunity to test their eagle eyes and steady aim on some electronic target practice.

Bent Creek Winery | Monday Zest

As an open house family orientated setting, come along and enjoy a glass of our finest. There will be something for all, including the kids! Sit back and enjoy the casual cuisine created by Exec. Chefs Ben Smith & Josh De Hass from ‘The Bath, Queens Head & Cremorne Hotels’ full of flavour and the servings are generous. Along with Adelaide’s ‘Generator’ here to entertain you and the family creating the perfect atmosphere.

Coriole Winery |Monday Zest

Adelaide beat makers Datakae and How Green normally perform independently, the two will join forces for one special performance at Coriole Sea & Vines. The 5 hour session will be a collaborative freestyle jam. Chilled vibes, beats and experimentation bringing an exciting close to the sea and vines weekend. Activities for the kids include Free face painting, games and jumping castle.

The Vale Market | Monday Zest

The Vale Market, 10am – 3pm. Over 50 stalls including local produce, arts, crafts, skincare, accessories, souvenirs and home wares. The Market is a family friendly environment with diverse stalls, children’s entertainment, free bouncy castle, and plenty of room for you to bring a picnic rug and enjoy the local foods and wine. Playing all day is local band Turn Back, a dynamic young duo, providing a mix of acoustic tunes and all of your favourite pop and rock hits as the perfect backdrop to a family day out.
