Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon 2020

TRYathletes swim in an Olympic-sized pool and cycle on the surrounding closed-roads before running through the parklands around the Adelaide Aquatic Centre.

EVENT CANCELLED: Due to restrictions and regulations aligned with COVID-19, the Adelaide-leg of the 2019/2020 Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon Series on Sunday 15 November, has sadly been cancelled. There was hope of resurrecting the Series with a postponement to November 2020, however, the health of the public and the TRY communities remains the top priority and without full confidence that families and those around can be protected, they aren’t able to press ahead.

The priority from here is to ensure that you are refunded for your registration and photo pack, if you purchased one. You’ll find options for a refund HERE

The Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon is a non-competitive event. It is a community engagement program that assists kids to develop self esteem. Australia’s largest Kids TRYathlon series aims to encourage kids to get fit and active while having fun with their friends. The TRYathon is conducted along the lines of an adult triathlon, i.e: swim, ride and run in one event. The event is for kids aged 6-15 years of age (6 year olds don’t cycle)

Note that the format of the day is that kids will first do the Swim Leg, then the Cycle Leg, and finally the Run. When kids cross the finish line, an all-Australian sporting champion will be there to award them a medallion and they will receive a certificate too.

Every child, no matter their ability, is considered a champion and encouraged by Weet-Bix Kids TRY Heroes. A medallion is awarded for completion. There are Trek bikes, Funky Trunks/Funkita Prize Packs and ASICS Prize Packs and TRYathlon Merchandise Prize Packs up for grabs too.

Regular Entry Closes: midnight on Sunday 15 March 2020

Registration Closes: midnight on Wednesday 1 April 2020
