In this South Australia History Festival event, young visitors may find themselves in a drill squad at Fort Glanville experiencing what it was like to defend South Australian shores in the late nineteenth century.
Fort Glanville was the key to South Australia’s defence against hostile attacks on our communications in the late-nineteenth century. This is illustrated by the program offered, featuring drill, cannon, and rifle fire. The performance is exciting (and noisy) and shows how the fort has defended our shores since 1880.
Cost:
- Adult | $15
- Concession | $7
- Family | $35
- Child | $7
Bookings are not required.
