Family friendly highlights of the Adelaide Film Festival

Some family friendly highlights of the festival are as follows:

My Life as a Zucchini

PG | Animation

No, not another one of those gourmet cooking shows but a gem of stop-motion animation in which a young boy tells of his time in an orphanage after his mother’s death. 9-year-old Courgette has only an empty beer can by which to remember his mum, but he quickly finds other kids who have had it just as bad. Together, these kids quietly find what it takes to survive in a world where there is no one left to love them. This remarkable ode to human resilience has charmed and inspired audiences wherever it has been shown, winning multiple audience awards and nominations for the Oscars and Golden Globes. If you need to be cheered up after some of your festival viewing, this is your film.
