Adelaide Kids Film Festival | 11-18 November 2014

It’s that time of year again… the 2014 Adelaide Kids Film Festival!

The AKFF program has been finalised and is bringing the works of many young, passionate, filmmakers to a screen near you from November 11th to 18th.  The Festival asked young film buffs from right across the world to grab their cameras and create a film, using their thoughts and ideas based on three categories: Live-Action, Animation and Documentary.   With close to 200 entries this year from all over the world it was an exciting challenge developing a program for this year.  There are films from Canada, Japan, England, Iran, Israel, Italy, Spain, France, Switzerland, Brazil, Australia, Germany, USA and Mexico.

The festival will showcase the passion and talent of these young film extraordinaires through a series of screenings, workshops and Q&A’s with industry professionals. This year they are also offering behind the scenes tours of the Screen Production Facility at AC Arts.

The Adelaide Kids Film Festival is an annual film festival ‘for kids by kids’. A pilot event was successfully held in December 2011, and immediately it became clear that there was demand for an annual film festival which would harness, encourage and showcase the creativity of young filmmakers.

The 2014 Adelaide Kids Film Festival will be held at various venues – the Mercury Cinema, Adelaide College of the Arts, Adelaide Studios, Wallis Cinema Mt Barker and Youthoria Cinema Port Lincloln.
