Summer is the perfect time to get the kids out and about during the school holidays with an extended break and beautiful, warm weather. Throughout Adelaide there are free events as well as workshops, vacation care programs, clinics, classes and activities for kids, plus there are plenty of fun things to do together as a family.

Adelaide Zoo & Monarto Safari Park
Go wild at Adelaide Zoo and Monarto Safari Park these school holidays!
At Monarto Safari Park your little ones will get to go on a journey to Africa. Kids will get their own little passport and be able to collect stamps at all the wildlife viewing platforms. Plus don’t forget, their Lions 360 and Giraffe Safari experiences are available every day and guaranteed to leave you in awe. Make sure to book in advance as spots are filling fast.
At Adelaide Zoo it’s all about fun and entertainment with the new Variety Children’s Zoo! It’s just a hop, skip and jump from their Nature’s Playground and Wisteria Café so the kids can explore while you relax with a coffee.
Plus, with pop up activities across the holidays such as face painting & art and craft, the Amazing Drumming Monkeys (14 Jan) and a Silent Disco (22 Jan), your little ones are sure to have a pawtastic time at Adelaide Zoo!

School Holidays at Cleland Wildlife Park
Cleland Wildlife Park Pre-Christmas Wildification makes that to-do list possible
Don’t be that parent who spends Christmas Eve building the kids’ trampoline in the dark. Instead, why not take advantage of Cleland’s pre-Christmas full-day Wildification program and get that trampoline built early! Children aged 5-12 years will undertake a range of Christmas themed activities including feeding animals, games, crafts, keeper presentations and a special animal experience. Bookings essential. Call 8130 9016 Monday to Friday to secure your spot. Places are limited.

Lizards and Dragons!
These school holidays get up close and personal with some of Cleland’s “devils” “dragons” and other lovely lizard friends. Meet a spiny devil, or a bearded dragon, and see what the lace monitor is having for lunch! Take yourself on your own adventure with the Reptile Riddles self-guided trail around the park, and then get crafty at the kids craft corner in the Oceans to Outback Interpretive Centre.

Hahndorf Farm Barn
Looking for some fun activities to enjoy with the kids in the beautiful Adelaide Hills these school holidays?
