Adelaide Zoo

Celebrate NAIDOC Week these school holidays at the Zoo

Need to entertain your cheeky monkeys these school holidays? Swing into Adelaide Zoo for two weeks of cultural festivities and fun as they celebrate NAIDOC Week!

Your child will be taken on an interactive journey of Aboriginal culture, art and language as the Nocturnal House is transformed into an ‘around the campfire’ storytelling landscape. Fun-filled activities, displays, storytelling and live presentations will allow your child to learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, as well as the zoo’s special nocturnal animals.

There will also be special event highlights including dance performances and workshops by the Tal-Kin-Jeri dance group, and daily Animal Wildshow’s and Free Flight Shows based on popular dreaming stories.

With all of this fun included in the price of a general admission ticket or membership, there’s no better time to visit Adelaide Zoo.

Plus join them for ZOOcation care, from 9 July – 18 July.  A special school holiday program for 5–12 year olds, ZOOcation care gives kids an opportunity to spend the day at the zoo visiting all their favourite animal friends under the care of a qualified conservation educator.
