There are venues all over Adelaide that offer vacation care programs, workshops, clinics, classes and activities for the kids, plus there are plenty of fun things to do together as a family.

Barossa Valley Chocolate Company

Located in the heart of the Barossa Valley just outside of Tanunda, the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company is the newest tourist attraction to call the wine region home.

There is something for everyone to enjoy, from watching chocolatiers making the artisan, handmade chocolate through the huge viewing windows in the retail area, to chocolate-making classes in the special experience room, and a specially curated chocolate and wine pairing experience in the cellar door.

The icecreamery serves freshly made gelato and Benni’s Café has a delicious menu of locally sourced food that is both fancy and fun. All of this can be enjoyed inside or on the spacious deck overlooking the spectacular water. The complex also has a private cellar, an amphitheatre and landscaped areas for fun times!



The Beachouse

Megazone Noarlunga

Megazone Noarlunga is a family entertainment centre that specialises in Laser Tag and birthday parties.

Megazone caters for the whole family, with ages 5 and up being able to play Laser Tag. They also have arcade games and a Retro Arcade filled with classic games for all the bigger kids!! Head on down and try a 2 Hour UNLIMITED Pass at a special rate these School Holidays and blast away in Adelaide’s largest indoor Laser Tag arena – come down with friends or join in on another game!

National Railway Museum Family Fun Fair

The railway museum’s annual Family Fun Fair, held during the July school holidays each year, has always proven so popular with young families.

There are loads of activities, song and dance and plenty of special attractions, including Dig a Dino, Animals Anonymous, Carnival Barrel Organ, Cool 4 Kids and of course those extremely popular two steam engines – Bub and Bill.

Other attractions include a theatrette, a huge model railway and plenty of displays and carriages to look in, plus there are various catering options on site.  All entertainment and all train rides are included with the admission fee which makes for a great value family outing.

SeaStar Rock Umbrella Winter City Sounds 2019

It’s a giant party when the SeaStar Rockers hit the stage, with all the characters from the famed TV Series on Adelaide’s Ch 44.

They’ve just rocked their 5th season at the Garden of Unearthly Delights, 2019 and were recommended as the ‘Top 5 Things for Kids’, by The Advertiser.

Kids will be up singing, dancing and playing games, as they help navigate sustainability of our oceans with a new show!

Highlights include helping Paddy Polar Bear beat the war on waste, bringing colour to the coral reef and sailing with Pirate Wally Walrus and Parrot Polly, as they take on plastic bag monsters!

From the bluesy beats of Blue Boppin’ Whale to the dance floor filler Jelly Fish Fizzies, parents love the songs as much as the kids do! Fabulous family fun! Under 1 year’s old free to this event. Face painting and jellyfish fizzies will also be available.

Time to sign up to Pirate School.

Fun on the deck of Port Adelaide’s very own Pirate ship. Pirate school is in for those that are game to walk the gangway, and join all the hands on activities.

Complete each task and graduate with your own Pirate Certificate.

Join the Pirate Captain as he sings his adventures! Arr family fun…get on board!
