Get ready for non stop action this Summer at Adelaide Oval with the Adelaide Strikers!
A New Year’s Eve blockbuster against powerhouse Perth Scorchers and a home re-match on 11 January 2025 with BBL|13 champions Brisbane Heat headline the Adelaide Strikers’ full season BBL14 fixture.
The New Year’s Eve celebration has established itself as a marquee match on the BBL calendar, and will generate extra pyrotechnics this summer as five-time champions the Scorchers and the Strikers do battle for the perpetual Jason Gillespie Trophy.
The next Adelaide Oval home game after NYE will bring the Heat, who proved the benchmark in BBL|13 with the Strikers adding additional firepower by securing emerging South Australia fast bowler Jordan Buckingham from Brisbane earlier this year.
After the Strikers’ barnstorming run to last summer’s Challenger on the back of five consecutive victories, their BBL|14 campaign begins against Sydney Thunder in Canberra on 17 December before returning to home turf to take on Melbourne Stars three days later.
The Strikers will also host Hobart Hurricanes, as part of the Strikers First Nations Round on 27 December, and Sydney Sixers on 15 January at Adelaide Oval which is renowned for its unsurpassed levels of atmosphere and support among BBL venues.
