Adelaide’s Christmas Festival 2020

The City of Adelaide is bringing the gift of joy and cheer this Christmas with the return of the Giant Christmas Tree in Victoria Square and life-size Lego sleigh at the Adelaide Central Market. Plus, you can discover a range of community events, maker markets, window displays and live performances this festive season.


Life-size Lego sleigh

This year, the Lego Sleigh will be at the Central Market Arcade and visitors will be able to look at the sleigh and take photos of it.

The Giant Christmas Tree

The Giant Christmas Tree in Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga lights up nightly from 8pm until 2.30am.

Window Wonderland

A trail of window art displays throughout the city. There are over 30 windows to discover across the city and North Adelaide, each festively dressed up with decorations or a Christmas art display by a local artist.

‘Treasure of Pageants Past’ exhibition at the Adelaide Town Hall

Hunt for the hidden treasures and relive the magic of pageants past at the Adelaide Town Hall and City Library this festive season.
This free, dual-site exhibition features Adelaide Christmas Pageant floats, float designs and small-scale models, artworks, photography, costumes, props and archives from its 88-year history as a South Australian icon.
