A message from the City of Adelaide:
New Year’s Eve is almost here. We know that many South Australians have been hit hard by bushfires in the lead up to Christmas and the New Year. Some have suggested that we should cancel our New Year’s Eve fireworks and reallocate the funding to bushfire relief, but our fireworks are planned and contracted months in advance. We are instead encouraging people who attend the event to donate to the Vinnies SA Bushfire Appeal. We will have volunteers on the ground collecting donations that will go directly to those people affected. Alternatively, you can visit the Vinnies website and make a donation: http://ow.ly/47h150xJ477
