AFL 2021 Season | South Australian Home Games

After a shaky year for footy in 2020, the AFL is back in full force for 2021.

Full-time footy is back, with the AFL committing to 20-minute quarters in 2021. After reducing quarter lengths to 16 minutes plus time-on last year due to the condensed nature of the season following the outbreak of COVID-19, the AFL Commission has ticked off a return to normal.

The floating fixture will also return, with the League set to lock in the timeslots for only the first six rounds of this next season. All fixtures from Round Seven to Round 23 will have dates and times confirmed closer to the match to allow for flexibility in line with ongoing COVID 19 pandemic. However, the season’s match-ups have been set in place up to Round 23.

After the 2014 $575 million redevelopment, Adelaide Oval boasts a 53,500 capacity. Fans enjoy the huge and vibrant atmosphere of the oval as they get to watch their favourite teams battle for the Premiership.

The showdowns, when both Adelaide teams face-off against each other, are traditionally Adelaide Oval’s biggest day each season.

Adelaide Oval will be able to house 75 per cent crowds from round one in 2021.
