Updated Guidelines for Licensed Venues – Restaurants, Cafes, Pubs & Wineries to Reopen for Indoor & Outdoor Dining
The Premier of South Australia, Steven Marshall today announced an amendment to the further easing of COVID-19 restrictions in South Australia. As of Friday 22 May 2020, all licensed venues with seated dining will be allowed to accommodate 10 indoor diners and 10 outdoor diners for a meal and alcohol.
Premier Steven Marshall announced today, Friday 22 May 2020, that all licensed venues and any establishment with dining facilities such as restaurants, pubs and cafes, plus wineries with seated dining, can now offer indoor dining for 10 people at a time plus 10 people dining outdoors. Alcohol is also allowed to be served with a meal. This is effective immediately.
Following on from the Wednesday 20 May 2020 announcement, Premier Steven Marshall said South Australians’ ongoing success in helping limit the spread of COVID-19 has enabled the Government to further ease restrictions on advice of the transition committee.
This further lifting of restrictions to include all licensed venues is due to there being only one new case of COVID-19 in the past 30 days in South Australia. The level of testing in South Australia also remains high, with 1,700 people tested yesterday.
