AnimeGO! Japan Pop Culture Festival 2023

Celebrate the worldwide phenomenon of Japanese pop culture at the eighth edition of AnimeGO! Japan Pop Culture Festival, an annual showcase of everything cool and quirky about Japan.

As yakitori sizzles on the BBQ, arcade games flicker, and the scent of freshly fried karaage fills the air – you’ll find it hard to believe that you’re still in Adelaide and haven’t just stumbled onto the streets of Akihabara.

Immerse yourself in the fantasy world of anime, manga and cosplay, pick over specialist stalls from local collectors and artists, sing your heart out at karaoke, and meet international guests. Be energised by live music and electrifying dance performances by Adelaide’s dance and creative art communities, with a special roving guest appearance from A-MUSE Project before their Lucky Beats performance that evening. Enjoy the exclusive screenings of the annual AnimeGO! Short Anime Film and 4-koma Manga competitions. Cheer on your favourites as the winners are announced live.

Grab your friends and join in the fun, food and festivities as you celebrate Japanese pop culture at AnimeGO!

Please note this event is suitable for ages 12 and up only.
