Recipe
To make apple donuts you’ll need:
● Apple (1 apple can make 4-6 donuts depending on the thickness of the slices).
● Spread of your choice (e.g. cream cheese, peanut butter, honey)
● Healthy toppings (e.g. chia seeds, almonds, coconut chips, strawberries)
Process:
1. Wash and slice the apples (approx. 1cm thick slices).
2. Use a stencil to remove the apple core.
3. Spread a paste of your choice (we used peanut butter and cream cheese) over your apple slices.
4. Decorate the apple donuts with toppings of your choice (slivered almonds, coconut chips, honey, etc.)
And you’re done! This is a great recipe for older kids to prepare themselves or for younger kids to lend a helping hand in the kitchen.
