Archaeological Dig at Adelaide Gaol
Become an archaeologist these school holidays and dig to unearth some of the hidden treasures and learn firsthand the history of Archaeology at the Adelaide Gaol.
What child doesn’t like digging in the sand and discovering the treasure buried within?
Go on an adventure and explore the Archaeology Dig at the Adelaide Gaol. Children will learn about how the dig site was discovered, what was found and what an archaeologist does. Children will also have the opportunity to dig in a sand tray, unearth some of the hidden treasures and talk about what they have found.
After the activity participants will have the opportunity to do a self-guided tour of the gaol and learn even more about its fascinating history.

*Suitable for primary school aged children (6-12 years old).
