The Art from the Heart Exhibition will feature artworks created by over 350 students in South Australia who are involved in the Schools Connect Program in 2015.
Held at the Norwood Town Hall, the project will culminate in an Art Exhibition with students invited to create a final piece of artwork on the theme ‘Gratitude’.
Student artworks will be offered for sale during this exhibition time, with proceeds contributing to the Help-A-School Foundation’s aims and future projects in schools in Vellore, India.
About the Schools Connect Program:
This school to school program is offered through the Help-A-School Foundation. It connects a class in South Australia with a class of students in Vellore, India over a 6 month period. Students from both ‘buddy’ classes have engaged in a range of social and literacy activities to learn about each other’s culture, school and worldview.
There are 14 classes involved in the program this year located in five schools across South Australia:
- Echunga Primary School
- Angaston Primary School
- East Adelaide School
- Stradbroke School
- Trinity Gardens School
The Exhibition will also feature 17 local artists who have generously donated a piece of their own artwork for a silent auction. You can bid for their artwork through the online auction here.
Please come to the ‘Art from the Heart’ Exhibition and support these amazing students and local artists to make a difference to others in the world.
