The excitement continues! The Franklin Island Sprint distance triathlon is now in its 5th year and will get your heart pumping with something for everyone.
The event includes a Mini Triathlon for children aged 7 – 18 years old which involves a 50m beach/shore swim or wade, a 2km cycle (closed roads) and a 400m run.
The 5k run/walk event is also perfect for all fitness levels, making sure there is something that everyone can get involved in.
The Franklin Island triathlon is run over the same course as the ASICS Victor Harbor Triathlon but just shorter.
12:30pm is the start time for the mini triathlon for children of 7 years & older. It’s pure fun with NO recorded times or awards presented. The run course will interact with the Sprint Distance Triathlon run leg.
Parking is close to the race site, also plenty of vantage points to watch the races unfold. ALL swims are in the sheltered Inland Sea water of Encounter Lakes.
For spectators a cafe is also close by & provides hot food and refreshments. There are plenty of vantage points to watch the races unfold.
