Autumn School Holiday Celebration | Outdoor Playgroup | 19 Apr 2016

autumn school holiday celebration

Celebrate Autumn and the school holidays at Warriparinga Reserve in Bedford Park.

Embrace the change of seasons. It’s all about getting kids 0-6 years outside and reconnecting with nature. Activities are aimed at babies and toddlers, but older children welcome to attend too! This is more of a ‘community playgroup’ with some set and structured activities, but parents are required to supervise their children at all times and contribute where possible. Playgroups are held in various locations four times a year, during the seasons.

Babies and toddlers will get wet, dirty and leave hungry and exhausted!

Activities include:

  • Exploring creeks
  • Catch and release tadpoles
  • Visiting ducks
  • Mud kitchen
  • Nature craft
  • Loose parts play
  • Tree climbing
  • Cubby Making
  • Water play
  • Bug hunt
  • Baby zone
  • Jumping in piles of leaves
  • Exploring and bushwalking
  • Slimes and sensory play
  • Clay

Bring:

  • $2 per child over 6 months
  • Cut up fruit to share
  • Spare change of clothes and a towel
  • Hat, sunscreen or gumboots and coat
  • Any nets/catchers you have

Park in car park off Sturt Rd and walk over the grass, past living Kaurna centre on your left, and over the little bridge. Its a lovely 5 minute walk to the Outdoor Playgroup secret spot!
