Blinky Bill presented by Hills Youth Centre
An original Australian musical Book, music and lyrics by Josh Sanders based on the classic stories of Dorothy Wall and directed by Di Mason.
The Hills Youth Theatre is pleased to announce Blinky Bill as its upcoming June production. Directed by Di Mason, this entirely original production will feature a script, music and lyrics written by former Hills Youth Theatre student and tutor Josh Sanders. Josh is a music theatre writer, performer and director. He recently appeared in The Full Monty at the National Theatre in Melbourne and is the author of I Won’t Dance, a new Astaire-Rogers musical which premiered at Her Majesty’s Theatre in Ballarat in 2015.
In adapting the classic Australian stories of Dorothy Wall, Josh Sanders has written the piece specifically for the Hills Youth Theatre’s large ensemble of kids aged 8 to 15.
Hills Youth Theatre tutor Di Mason is excited to direct:
“This is a truly original piece of work in its entirety and I am humbled and privileged that Josh has asked me to direct his show.”
