Brick-A-Laide | 25 & 26 Mar 2016

brick a laid

Brick-a-laide is the largest LEGO fan display in South Australia and features an unbeatable showcase of brick creations and displays from local and interstate modellers and creators!

Held at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the event, which attracted 25,000 people in its first year,  is set to return this Easter- Friday 25th – Saturday 26th March for two fun filled days!

Wander through the range of amazing exhibits, including the USS OGEL, which will be making its first Adelaide appearance- this minifig scale ship is based on the WW2 Battle Cruisers that saw action in the Pacific Theatre. Measuring over 4 metres long and manned with a crew of over 50 LEGO sailors.

Also on display will be two HUGE collaborative builds- one based on the original LEGO Space themes from the 1970’s and 1980’s. The other is one of the largest LEGO city displays ever seen in SA, where you can view the streets and peer into the lives of LEGO people who live there.

With the release of the Star Wars movie, Star Wars LEGO fans will be out in force, showing the best of what the Empire and the Rebels have to offer. From the smallest battles to the epic Star Destroyers, lovers of the Star Wars Franchise will not be disappointed.

Once you’ve finished in the Exhibit area, enjoy the huge range of merchandise on sale by LEGO traders, grab some refreshments at the Brick Café and take a pic at the FREE Instabooth photo booth.

Event Schedule and Info

Venue capacity is limited and this event will sell out prior to the event, so you are urged to book your preferred time now on the Adelaide Convention Centre website here. Once sessions are sold out, there will be no tickets available at the door. Book your session online to avoid disappointment.

The first session is held at 8.30am and the last session at 4.30pm on each day. Sessions run in one hour blocks and the event closes at 6pm.

You can only access the event at the time of your booked session, so the earlier you book the longer time you can spend in the Games area. No admission allowed 20+ minutes after your purchased scheduled start time.

First, you will access the exhibit area, where the amazing creations are housed for you to marvel at. One hour is plenty of time to walk your way through the displays. Once your allocated hour is up you will proceed to the Games area, where you can visit the traders and buy your favourite bricks and accessories, or you can relax at the Brick Café which sells a delicious range of refreshments. The Plaster Fun House will once again have a range of LEGO inspired plasters for the creative visitors to decorate and don’t miss the LEGO play area.
