British Film Festival
Presented by Palace, the British Film Festival’s full programme has been revealed, celebrating the best of British in a remarkable line up of 31 films, a number of which are screening for the first time in Australia.
Stellar performances from Festival favourites and brilliant newcomers will delight audiences and ignite their senses in a line up which includes the best contemporary cinema, documentaries and the chance to experience some of the most significant British films of the 1970s on the big screen.

The Railway Children (1970)
A wonderful family film adapted from Edith Nesbit’s much-loved 1906 novel, The Railway Children follows the adventures of the Waterbury Children – Bobbie (Jenny Agutter), Phyllis (Sally Thomsett) and Peter (Gary Warren). After the enforced absence of their father, the children move with their mother (Dinah Sheridan) to Yorkshire, where they occupy themselves by watching the trains and attempt to discover the reason for their father’s disappearance.
