If you love your local footy, get down to the Centrals v Glenelg match on Saturday, August 31st for the first day of their Big Weekend in support of Novita Children’s Services. This will be a Centrals ‘Special Home Match’ to support their charity partner Novita in raising awareness (and funds) for children with disabilities. There will be a large yellow star painted on centre wing of the Oval turf and up to ten league players will be wearing special yellow boots on the day (to be signed by players and auctioned off (via Ebay) after the match). There will be a big match day raffle with great prizes and they will be giving out 300 free showbags to children in attendance at quarter time. As well as the football there will be a bouncy castle for the kids.
On Sunday, September 1st the Big Weekend will conclude with a great family fun day to celebrate Novita’s Walk With Me – a recreational walk to celebrate the achievements of people with a disability, which will be followed by free entertainment in the park. Read more here.
