Christmas Baking – Christmas Tree Brownies & Reindeer Chocolate Cake

We made this chocolate cake using Green’s basic chocolate cake mix which includes chocolate icing. It’s super easy to make and is delicious. You could also use a store bought cake to save time. To decorate we used pretzels for ears, orange chocolate balls for the red noses and the eyes are from the supermarket (in the cake decorating section). You could also substitute with other things like Smarties.

Christmas Tree Brownies

Our Play & Go friend, 11 year old Miss Sophie, made these wonderful Christmas Tree Brownies for a school cake stall. We thought they were amazing so asked if she would share the recipe.

Then the real fun begins. You can follow the instructions in this Zoella video (where she also shares some other clever treats) – just forward to around 7:10.

You could decorate with other things like hundreds and thousands, tiny silver baubles or stars in the cake decorating section of the supermarket.
