CIRCUS – The Show at Her Majesty’s Theatre
Prepare to enter a world of utter whimsy and wonder where your imagination will soar like never before, in this completely re-imagined family circus spectacular.
Following the complete sell-out debut season at Adelaide Fringe this year, plus absolutely overwhelming demand for tickets at the Melbourne Comedy Festival – which saw the entire 16 show season sell out two days into their run – ‘CIRCUS’ is returning to Adelaide these September school holidays in the newly renovated and stunning Her Majesty’s Theatre. From September 27-28 for 3 shows only.
Sure to astound and amaze the entire family, ‘CIRCUS’ is the latest trailblazer in children’s entertainment – featuring world-class illusions, tumbling acrobats, highly skilled jugglers, breath-taking and elegant aerialists, an endearing clown with his GIGANTIC 6ft balloon, and enough side-splitting comedy to send any grown man running for the toilet!
Don’t miss out on your chance to take a wondrous journey with the enchanting Ringmaster, and tumble down the rabbit hole as you get set to experience a bewildering and hilarious family circus show unlike any other before it; concluding with a powerful message to always embrace your weirdness and never lose sight of your dreams – no matter how wild!
Play & Go Review
For a bit of Fringe fun in the school holidays, Circus the Show has all the variety and laughs for a great family outing. Fantastic acrobatics, hoops, magic tricks that will have you puzzled, basketball tricks, aerial talent, giant hoop, and a clown with a huge balloon. It has plenty of silliness and laughs and will keep kids entertained the whole time. Audience interaction was plentiful with kids eager to participate, bringing lots of noise and atmosphere to the beautiful Her Majesty’s Theatre.
The beautiful Her Majesty’s Theatre gave Circus the Show a grand stage and old word feel. The entertainment was good old fashioned family fun, with jokes that little kids love.
One of the acts, local brother and sister duo Diamond Duo are familiar entertainers. We’ve watched them grow up performing in the Mall and it’s great to see how much they have perfected their talent to produce a slick act with plenty of jaw-dropping acrobatics.
It’s always amazing to see what a hula hoop multi-tasker can do with a multiple of hoops, and even more impressive to discover later that she can also do aerial silk stunts.
The clever magician had tricks up his sleeves that truly wowed and had you pondering about what you saw. There was plenty of variety with an expert on basketball tricks and a giant hoop artist. The lively Ringmaster kept the show moving along with plenty of laughs, along with his side-kick, Clown, and they both added some of their own magic and fun to the mix.
