Come and Try Week at Cirkidz Circus School!
You’re all invited to run away to the circus with Cirkidz for Come and Try Week at the SA Circus Centre. Take your budding circus star along to check out the centre, have a go at their creative activities and experience their wonderful community. You will be surprised at what your child will get up to in their structured and engaging classes.
Did you know that the demand for creative thinkers, doers and learners has increased by a whopping 65% in recent years. Circus is an excellent way for your child to practice and learn mindful creative problem-solving techniques while hanging out (and upside down!) with Cirkidz’s professional circus trainers.
Famous clown and circus performer Reg Bolton completed his thesis in 2004 on ‘Why Circus Works,’ where he examined how the values and structure of circus make it a significant developmental activity for children. The school borrows from these principles to create a fun and interactive experience for all of their students. The school values and promotes resilience and safe risk-taking.

Cirkidz are a not-for-profit arts organisation that has been around for 35 years. They began their humble beginnings in Adelaide’s inner west and are proud that their classes have helped many children over the years with confidence, socialisation, coordination and creative thinking. Circus is a wonderful after school activity, that’s non-competitive and a little bit out of the box. Every kid is a Cirkid and everyone fits at Cirkidz!
I had a difficult time during Year 9 at high school due to some issues with teachers and some social problems which really effected my confidence. All of my closest friends and most inspiring mentors were at Cirkidz so it was almost like a release and a safe place during that time.
Jascha Boyce – Cirkidz graduate, international performer and Gravity and Other Myths co-founder speaks about the confidence and support she found at Cirkidz Circus School.
