Restrictions easing – indoor play centres reopening
The premier, Steven Marshall today announced that restrictions in SA will be eased in a major way from 29 June 2020. Density requirements for all defined public activities will be 1 person per 2 square metres. This includes everything from hospitality to indoor fitness classes and indoor play centres will be able to reopen.
There will be no maximum limit per room providing businesses adhere to the 2 square metre density requirement.
Activities previously not allowed will also be able to resume including:
- Contact indoor sport (competition)
- Standing hospitality
- Nightclubs and music festivals
- Food courts (on-site consumption)
- Gaming rooms/facilities in pubs and clubs
- Indoor play centres
- Spas, saunas and bathing
- Amusement arcades/parks
An approved COVID Management Plan will be required for some activities, including large public gatherings (further details to be provided).
