Experiencing Marine Sanctuaries Snorkel Events
A series of community snorkel events will be hosted by EMS qualified snorkel leaders and marine biologists in the April school holidays and throughout 2021.
Participants will be given the chance to discover and explore some of the best snorkel sites for both beginners and those with more experience. There will also be classes for beginners at the Thebarton Aquatic Centre and swim sessions with Giant Cuttlefish.
Snorkel Classes for Beginners, All Ages and Abilities at Thebarton Aquatic Centre
A beginner’s course at Thebarton Aquatic Centre for those who have not snorkelled before and all abilities who would benefit from extra assistance. The lessons are fully inclusive and they encourage people living with disability, autism and those of all ages and abilities who would benefit from extra assistance to learn and practice basic snorkelling techniques to ensure a safe and enjoyable first snorkel experience. Many first-time snorkellers have requested this extra tuition after struggling with snorkel skills on their first ocean experience or choosing not to snorkel with family and friends due to lack of skill and confidence.
