In its third year the Festival of Now is Australia’s only Festival that celebrates World Mental Health Day.
A family friendly event it is completely free with magicians, face painting, bubble soccer, Animals Anonymous, sun catcher making, Lolly Jar Circus and drumming circle.
With stalls promoting arts in health, healthy eating and performances the Festival of Now is a positive event creating a wider understanding of mental health and wellbeing in the community.
All artists who take to the main stage have a lived experience of mental illness. This year events includes live music, poetry, comedians and magicians with special guest local poet Geoff Goodfellow.
Celebrity Chef Simon Bryant will make his regular appearance at lunchtime with a cooking demonstration that shows how we can all look creatively at food.
