Festival Plaza | Free Water Play | Adelaide Festival Centre

Play in the Plaza

Festival Plaza Precinct – Adelaide’s new heart of entertainment to meet, indulge, play and enjoy day or night.

Completely free to enter, the plaza is a fantastic open space with lots of family-friendly facilities including bench seating, lawn areas, shade structures and a fabulous water play area.

Enjoy the serenity as the ground comes to life with misting and pooling water displays that also light up at night. Don’t be afraid to get a little wet and cool off during the warmer months – the kids will love playing here so you may need to take along a towel or even spare clothes!

Play in the Plaza

Take the kids along to play in the water feature and engage with the giant interactive screen. During warm weather the water feature bubblers alternate with misters on a timer and the pavers are wonderfully non-slip.  There are different events held on various weekends and during school holidays – check in with the Riverbank website to see what’s on.

Meet family and friends at the Goodie Goodie Cafe by day and Arbour Bar by night, with a beautiful view of the Adelaide Riverbank.  The perfect spot to meet before or after the footy or cricket at Adelaide Oval, or just the spot to stop for a break while exploring the city.
