FREE Family Open Day at North Adelaide Golf Course

Looking for an event that’s different, fun for the family, and right on your doorstep? On Sunday 22 November, you can enjoy a day out on Par 3 Golf Course. It’s shorter and quicker than your average golf course, and absolutely FREE.
Collect your clubs and balls from the Par 3 Café down near the River Torrens and head onto the course. Or spend time on the putting green with the kids – where there’s no waiting to keep playing shot after shot (perfect for short attention spans!). Watch the smile on their face when they sink their very first putt.
It’s set to be a huge day with lots of activities:
- FREE golf on our Par 3 Course for the whole family (RSVP essential)
- Live music from local Adelaide musicians Tom & Rose and DJ Luke Henry
- Free roving circus performers with jugglers, stilt walkers, and acrobats
- Games including bocce, hopscotch and giant snakes & ladders
- Open space among the trees in the Park Lands for the kids to play
- Coffee and food vans from South Australian businesses
- Fully licensed venue – so you can grab a drink or two
Never golfed before and don’t know what to expect? There’s no formal dress code. No exclusive membership. No fancy traditions. Just a great day out with family and friends.
Entry is FREE
If you would like to simply enjoy the entertainment, or have a few hits on the putting green, you do not need to book ahead.
If you would like to play on the Par 3 Course, you must book a time.
This is so everyone can get a chance to play – and to keep the event safe and following COVID guidelines. You can have up to 4 players per tee times (each tee time is 8 minutes apart).
Car Parking: Free and plentiful along War Memorial Drive
Directions: Exit War Memorial Drive alongside the Torrens Weir. Par 3 can be found at the end behind the River Café
