Free School Holiday Fun at Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market
Every Sunday at 10am Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market offers free fun activities for children. As a Childrens’ University destination the activities are always educational and this July holiday is no exception with croissant baking, gingerbread decorating and slime making on offer.
- Sunday 7 July 2019 – Free SciWorld Science show and slime making workshop
- Sunday 14 July 2019 – Free Croissant baking fun for little chefs with Joy from Nan’s High Tea
- Sunday 21 July 2019 – Free German gingerbread decorating fun with Anne-Marie from German Cake Lessons
From purple cauliflower to native bush tucker ice cream flavours, Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market is packed with sights, smells and tastes to fascinate all ages and appeal to the fussiest eater. With 90 stalls of South Australian grown produce, all sold by the farmers and bakers who grow, make and bake the food it is a great place to learn about where your food comes from.
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast cooked by Masterchef’s Poh Ling Yeow at her JamFace stall every week, or grab some sushi or a chocolate croissant from the Sushi by Jo or Mulotte’s Patisserie stalls. Dietary requirements are well catered for with dairy free apple, cinnamon and almond porridge at Kuhl Kooking and gluten free pasta, cakes and treats at Just Gluten Free.
It’s a wonderful morning out with lots to see and do, including cooking demonstrations every week at 11am. There is even free ‘Pooch Parking’ where four legged family members can be spoilt in comfort while you shop.
The Farmers’ Market is open every Sunday 9am – 1pm except during The Show.
