The best Ice Cream Places in Adelaide: Gelatissimo

Gelatissimo on Rundle Street

One of our absolute favourite places for delicious gelato is Gelatissimo, made fresh in-store with no artificial colours and flavours.

Just walking up to the counter will make your children’s eyes pop as the way they display their gelato selection is quite the sight!  It is nearly impossible to choose a flavour with so many varieties on offer.  The premium dairy and sorbet flavours are made fresh daily using natural ingredients and are a low-fat, creamy alternative to traditional ice cream.  Fortunately a taste test is encouraged, but after 8 or 9 spoons you really will need to make a decision!

A few facts about Gelatissimo’s gelato:

  • Gelato has less fat than ice cream
  • 50% less air than ice cream
  • Their gelato includes options that are made without dairy, reduced sugar and vegan
  • Made fresh in-store in small batches

At the Australian Dairy Industry Awards 2021 Gelatissimo won the following awards:

  • GOLD – Hazelnut
  • SILVER – Candy Wonderland, Choc Honeycomb, Chunky New York Cheesecake, Espresso
