Glenthorne National Park Open Days

Go along to one of the Glenthorne National Park Open Days and be amongst the first to see what’s planned for Adelaide’s newest national park.

Take a ranger-guided walk and see artist’s impressions from the draft master plan, and join in activities hosted by Nature Play SA including geocaching and cultural activities by the Kaurna community. Other children’s activities include water colour painting and ochre play.

Go early and experience a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony hosted by Kaurna Traditional Owners, and hear from The Minister for Environment and Water, David Speirs.

Gates open at 5b Majors Road, O’Halloran Hill from 10am until 3pm on both days, for a 10:30am start. Ample parking will be available in front of the property along Majors Road.

Ranger-guided walk:

Join a ranger-guided walk around the Glenthorne property to see what’s planned and view artist’s impressions of what the new park will include. Previously, ranger-guided walks have booked out quickly, so visit the link below to register and go in the draw to win one of ten parks passes.

Guided walks are approximately 3km in length and include some undulating surfaces and gentle hills. Sturdy walking shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and refillable water bottles are recommended.
