Gluttony pops up again from Friday 14 February for the 2020 Adelaide Fringe.
Gluttony are excited to be back this season with an eclectic array of 19 venues across their Rymill Park and Masonic Lodge sites, ranging from the large and lively to the intimate and atmospheric, and accommodating an outstanding entertainment program.
Gluttony’s got something for all tastes, from weekend shows for the whole family to late night laughs, spanning the genres of theatre, cabaret, circus, magic, music, comedy, dance, and children’s entertainment.
In addition to the 160+ fabulous Fringe acts performing within Gluttony, you can find their food courts offering a diverse range of delicious cuisines, bars serving fine wines, local beer and top-shelf spirits, family-friendly activities, and multiple areas to chill and watch the world go by at the open-air party in the park.
As always, entry is FREE.

‘Enchantments’ by Pierre Ulric | 7 – 15 March 2020
VENUE: THE PARLOUR
International mystery maker Pierre Ulric presents the greatest magic show from this world and beyond. Spells, potions, levitations, time manipulation and exploring new dimensions… Anything can happen with ‘Enchantments’.
Big Tops & Tiny Tots Circus Show | 15 February – 15 March 2020
Straight from a sell-out season at Edinburgh Fringe, Big Tops returns to Adelaide with this early-education focused show made just for little ones. After 50mins of endless giggling, kids will be somersaulting out the door with excitement, ready to set off on their very own circus adventure.
Bubble Show with Dr Bubble and Milkshake | 15 February – 15 March 2020
VENUE: EMPIRE THEATRE
A New Bubble Show Every Year from Fringe Favourites and World Class Bubble Performers Dr Bubble and Milkshake.
Shadow Bubbles, Illuminate Bubbles, Square bubbles, Smoke bubbles, spinning carousels, track bubbles, vortexes, bubble puppets, giant bubble tubes and a million-bubble finale.
Mickster’s Magic Gadgets | 7 – 15 March 2020
VENUE: PARASOL LOUNGE
Mickster the Trickster needs YOUR kids to help him find his MISSING cheeseburger before he gets super super HANGRY. In this new-age high tech magic show, Mickster takes family entertainment & interactivity to the next level. Filled with awesome GIZMOS, GADGETS & CLUES, the kids become part of the show & help him find that burger.
Petit Circus | 15 February – 15 March 2020
Petit Circus returns with a brand new show in 2020. A 45 minute show packed with amazing acrobatics, stacks of silliness, perfect for children aged 3+, and the young at heart.
The Alphabet of Awesome Science | 7 – 15 March 2020

Join professors Lexi Con and Noel Edge (the Word Nerd and the Science Freak) for a thrilling voyage through the alphabet -where BIG words inspire BIG science. It’s a race from A to Z in a show that’s over-flowing with sesquipedalian words and spectacular science.
The Circus Firemen | 15 February – 15 March 2020
Firemen themed circus fun for all ages. The Circus Firemen turn up the heat with high energy acrobatics, red hot fire juggling, and hilarious physical comedy.
The Greatest Magic Show | 15 February – 15 March 2020
VENUE: EMPIRE THEATRE
The Greatest Magic Show, is coming to Adelaide for the first time. See the stars Sam, Justin and the mysterious Ringmaster, hit the spotlight debuting brand-new and hilarious magic and insane circus stunts. Plus, every single child that goes will receive a FREE MAGIC WAND on entry, and get a chance to get a photo with the stars of the show straight after.
Fort Nite Battle Royal Live:
Nerf Guns are provided. You choose your weapon and get ready to run. Use the practice session to size up your opponents while stocking up on boogie bombs and health packs. Then the Battle Royal begins. In the end only one champion can walk away with the winner’s medal. Will it be you? Strictly years 8 to adult. Session lasts for 25 minutes.
Tickets $14. On Fridays & Saturdays from 14 February 2020.
Food at Gluttony:
The expanded, multicultural food court returns by popular demand, serving up a wide variety of worldly treats to feed the whole family, including Filipino, Italian, Greek and Indian cuisines. You’ll find West Market at the city end of the site, a short walk from the main entrance on the corner of Rundle Road and East Terrace.
For lovers of the finer things in life, the Gluttony team has curated a new food and beverage precinct, East Market. From festival snacks to multi-course dinners, East Market serves up a foodie experience to perfectly complement your Fringe shows. It’s located at the eastern end of Gluttony, close to the Adelaide Bowling Club.
Bars are dotted throughout the park, from west through to east. Call by Coopers for your brews, see the sommelier for wine, seek out the Sake Bar in East Market for a flight, and swing by The Local for an all-South Australian selection of beers, wine and spirits. Stay refreshed with fresh juices, bubble tea, soft drinks and coffee, and bring your own drink bottle to refill at the free filtered water stations across the site.
Gluttony have their very own app to help you select shows, keep up to date with artist profiles, check performance times, receive special offers and more. Available to download for free for both iPhones and Android phones.
The Gluttony website is also a great way to find a show, with categories to help you find what you’re looking for such as a show with loads of laughs, something you can sing along to or something the whole family can enjoy.
