Australia’s hottest bands and some of South Australia’s coolest food and wine will come together at the Fleurieu Peninsula’s freshest venue when Lake Breeze Wines hosts the inaugural Handpicked Festival on Saturday, November 29.
Sheppard, the group behind the number one smash hit Geronimo, will headline the Langhorne Creek festival in their only SA appearance as part of their Bomb’s Away album launch tour. They will be joined by the sensational Jessica Mauboy as well as one of Australia’s finest live acts, Thirsty Merc and a collection of South Australia’s own original artists Joshy Willo, Ash Gale and Alex Hosking for a great day of contemporary music, food, wine and fun.
Fork on the Road food trucks will provide a range of cuisines to complement Lake Breeze’s wine selection.
The Follett family, who own Lake Breeze, conceived the Handpicked Festival to help put their award-winning boutique winery and the wider Langhorne Creek region, just one hour from Adelaide, on the map. Lake Breeze winery lies on the banks of the Bremer River and is surrounded by majestic river red gums and overlooks the 90 hectare (225 acre) Follett family vineyard.
Handpicked will be providing a return coach service from the Adelaide Central Bus Station to Lake Breeze Wines for an additional cost, or there will be plenty of free parking available onsite for those who wish to drive. Coach bookings must be made when you book your event tickets. Festival tickets are available now through Eventopia. Children 12 years and under are free when accompanied by an adult.
